Miyu & Mirarain
- Posted at 21:17 on Nov. 19, 2008 by wowgoldshopping Miyu was an officer and the Main Tank of a guild named Dawn Eternal; they were worldwide 5th kill on Nefarian at their peak. Miyu is in every way responsible for my knowledge and success. In Summer wow gold 2005, I had never once picked up a shield; instead, I was working on storyline movies and swinging my Arcanite Reaper at Tarren Mill and Souths**** battles. I did not know what tanking was. I had not been in any instance since Maraudon. Miyu contacted me regarding the movies; she detailed some things I could do with Adobe Premiere, and I learned a significant amount about technical editing from her. As we gained a friendship, she talked about how much she enjoyed tanking, and what the new content in Blackwing was bringing -- this sparked me to start asking questions. What was tanking? What was raid tanking? Miyu became my sensei, so to speak. She taught me everything. I learned from her before I ever developed my own style. All of the Heroic Strike information in Miles to Go and Hold the Line? Miyu taught me that. All of the weapon recommendations, all of the Threat layouts, all of the stat allocations from Miles to Go? Miyu taught me that. Two days after Miyu gave me an extensive list of gear to get, I had farmed every single piece from Dire Maul and Upper Blackrock Spire and talked with her again. I wanted to apply to Dawn Eternal and leave my casual guild, Eventide, behind. This is where Mirarain comes in. This is the other great Warrior and woman responsible for my success. Her and I were close friends already and I considered her an excellent tank. I confided in her that I was applying to Dawn Eternal. She challenged me -- What are your goals? Through talking to her, standing atop a perch deep inside Blackrock wow gold Mountain, she helped me realize my goal. I was to become a main tank myself, to lead a guild, not simply follow the lead of another. Mirarain convinced me to begin raiding -- to actually do it -- with Eventide. We joined another guild on their raids, Legacy Reborn, for two weeks before I fell so in love with raiding that we broke off and began our own raids and our spectacularly successful guild. Miyu and Mirarain were hugely influential to myself. They were both amazing Warriors, both very talented, and both among the best teachers a person can have in life. Katanaa Katanaa impressed me for her tanking through PUG runs, as well as her breadth of knowledge in discussions I had with her. She is a talented tank for a top-200 guild, hopefully the Main Tank at this point. There's not a whole lot I can say regarding our conversations; however, I cannot make a post about impressive female Warriors without including her. handle the inevitable rejection.
- Posted at 21:16 on Nov. 19, 2008 by wowgoldshopping Some wow gold Guys become attached to women to the point that they can't handle the inevitable rejection. They feel so ashamed by the whole ordeal that they feel the whole guild is looking down on them, when frankly, no one really cares. The woman, thoroughly disgusted, often acts completely blameless in the situation -- "but I didn't know when I sent him those dirty tells that he might take it the wrong way!" As if this wasn't bad enough, there is a tendency among some women to try and flirt their way through the top. This is terrible because it tarnishes the legitimate business and personal relationships between leadership and other players. I'm not going to say that we should have all-male guilds, and you'll realize this as you read farther. However, most raid guild leaders have thought it at some point. Nihilum even has a joking No Girls Allowed policy due to past drama. The Right Stuff -- Profiles of Great Women My wow gold guild was unique in that we had a lot of strong women from the very start. We had strong women in the guild in every kill from Lucifron to Kel'Thuzad, with all content in between. We recruited well and, while we made plenty of mistakes, we came out on top. I'm going to name a large number of women who have impressed me. I was not on the best of personal terms with many of them, but it would be dishonest for me to not show respect for their work. These are strictly women I have raided with or have influenced me directly; this allows me to vouch for their player skill. a management perspective
- Posted at 21:15 on Nov. 19, 2008 by wowgoldshopping However, in the long-term, this often leads to a coupling of two people that is similar to cliques in a guild. Cliques are terrible things for an organization, where a small group of people acts totally independently of the guild for a long period of time, while simultaneously taking gear or loot from the guild. If you offend one person in the clique for any reason, no matter how rational or irrational, the others will leave the wow gold guild immediately. Further, the separation that they build makes them feel distant from the guild, and allows them to reinforce any bad feelings they have with each other. It's a quick, vitriolic spiral downwards that usually builds from unfounded gossip. This is what happens with many couples. Though this can happen with either the guy or the girl in the relationship, often the guy will leave with the belief that he might actually get laid by this woman. Yeah, right. This is compounded by the fact that -- from a management perspective -- it becomes impossible to address very serious issues in wow gold gameplay with one person without running the risk of losing the other. You lose the ability to say, "your DPS isn't up to par with the others in your class," because that will often be quickly countered by the significant other in private tells, "how dare he single you out, when that other player is performing so badly!" Another issue that stems from coupling and from established relationships is a difficulty in picking good leaders to advance in the guild. Three times in our guild we had major issues stemming from players who demanded their significant others have full access to Officer chat. This made us very uncomfortable, as we were unable to talk openly about many player issues. This, in turn, led to another wow gold problem -- one woman logged in her husband's Forum account, saw a criticism in a business-style memo where we listed DPS issues from our casters, and promptly began sulking and lashing out at us. Posts we thought were entirely private began funneling out to other members. Until we asked all three couples to leave the guild we could not use either Officer chat or our private Officer forums. This had left many of our Officers feeling devalued because there was not a clear communication between them and myself. What Women Face II
- Posted at 21:13 on Nov. 19, 2008 by wowgoldshopping DPS isn't up to par with the others in your class," because that will often be quickly countered by the significant other in private tells, "how dare he single you out, when that other player is performing so badly As we came back and reformed in front of Aran's room for our next attempt, one of these men came up with a brilliant idea -- don't move during Flame Wreath. Blizzard doesn't occur during a Flame Wreath, after all! Disregarding the fact that the woman had already pointed this out exactly, and disregarding he was repeating it verbatim, he took credit and the others listened to him. Some wow gold women may lack confidence or be afraid to make mistakes as a result of those sexist overtones. They, like everyone, want to be seen as equals, and be recognized based on merit. However, to become great players, all players must first make mistakes, and have friends and guild members who understand that those are mistakes everyone goes through, not mistakes caused by being women. If you disagree with the above inequalities, you will probably disagree with the entirety of the following post. Guild Leader's Perspective Many wow gold women -- certainly not all -- either knowingly or unknowingly inject a large amount of drama into a guild. More often than not, bringing in a new, single female player is a gamble that winds up costing more than it gains. Let's take the best of the bad scenarios. There is some mutual attraction or legitimate relationship built between a current member and the new female player. This can help the guild in the short-term because both players are working together to help gear each other up, farm gold, and perform other necessary functions; their effort always produces more than the sum of their individual efforts would have. early Karazhan
- Posted at 21:12 on Nov. 19, 2008 by wowgoldshopping As clearly as I can say this: wow gold women are just as capable as men. There is no reasonable difference between them. Even if Warcraft were based on physical strength like other sports, women would probably be stronger than many men playing this game. Sad, huh? I do not want to categorize the two; this post isn't about actual differences, but perceived differences and very real, very common issues. Here are my premises: Women are often not taken as seriously as men; Women are often not considered as good as men; Women are often seen as sex objects, even in a cohesive guild; Women have to work harder than men to be accepted and viewed as equals. All of this is amplified by the anonymous nature of the Internet. For being the progressive, forward-looking future of our world, there is some irony at how rampant racism and sexism are by comparison to the 'real world. In an early Karazhan raid our wow gold guild completed shortly after the release of Burning Crusade, one very pronounced example of these stereotypes came up. One of the women in our guild, a Harvard student, quickly and correctly identified the Flame Wreath mechanic on the Shade of Aran. Don't move during Flame Wreath. She followed it up by noting that the Blizzard could not occur during a Flame Wreath -- another necessary observation for our guild, given we were doing this long before any guides were written. She was completely dismissed. Instead, two of our DPS classes began having a shouting match with each other about the mechanic, not listening at all to the women. This led to confusion once we entered Aran's room, as the DPS'ers refused to follow the actual approach we were going with -- hers -- and wiped the raid. Women and Raiding
- Posted at 21:11 on Nov. 19, 2008 by wowgoldshopping Some of you reading this are thinking about how old-fashioned I must be. That's fine, I'm not here to change your beliefs. I would suggest, though, that guys are all pretty well the same. We all want to have children. Biologically, our body is not designed for ourselves, but for the next generation. If you doubt this, imagine the pain difference between getting punched in the shoulder and getting kicked in the primal nethers (or, for some of you, the motes). In other words, the point of gender separation is not about keeping us pious, but keeping us focused. Now let's put this in the realm of wow gold . In a raiding guild, an organization of dozens upon dozens of men, adding women into the mix causes certain reactions. Especially if she's single. Especially if she's talkative and has a nice voice. Especially if she's posted an attractive picture or video of herself. For most men this produces no reaction either way. They are either married, dating, or simply level-headed enough to realize it's a worthless pursuit. If there is some attraction at any point, they carry themselves in a non-creepy way and keep private life out of guild wow gold However, the issues never rise from most-men, they rise from the lowest common denominator -- the guy who starts stalking this particular woman, or gets in a relationship that causes guild drama, or reacts irrationally elsewhere. Sometimes this moves to the point of multiple GM tickets, server transfers, and even phone number changes. I grew up Mormon
- Posted at 21:10 on Nov. 19, 2008 by wowgoldshopping A lot of men are awful at wow gold . So are a lot of women. As you read through the following article you may have a gut reaction to either wholeheartedly agree or wholeheartedly disagree; I would hope that -- in either case -- you catch the nuance of my arguments. This is a gender issue that deals with problematic relationships in raiding guilds; as such, the article does not give as much credit as it should to the genuine friendships and solid couples that are the foundation of many guilds. Understand I do not intend for extremity. You will find that I clarify twice that there is no realistic difference between men and women in gaming. I do not want to reinforce any view or tone that suggests this; as such, it becomes difficult to expand on the genuinely good aspects of both men and women and the non-gender issues that arise for everyone due to the context of this article. Bit of background. I grew up Mormon; this meant I was raised in a semi-segregated setting, as many other large church organizations are. There was a Young Men's and Young Women's wow gold organization. While Sunday School was mutual, many of our other activities and weeknight get-togethers were based on age group and sex. In Boy Scouts, I would often head on long hikes where we'd head out, play Capture the Flag, fire slingshots at coyotes (this was a bad idea looking back at it), and generally handle all of the mischief that boys do. Through one 50-mile hike, we struggled together, and five of us nearly died on a glacier dropoff (which also marked the first and only time I've heard a Bishop swear). The Girl Scouts in our ward were also going on hikes and other activities -- but not with us. As I moved from this period of my life and graduated High School, I enlisted with the US Marine Corps -- which was so heavily segregated between men and women that women were only trained on the other side of the nation. The only woman I saw during boot camp was a female Drill Instructor (scared the heck out of me). Trend Blizzard?
- Posted at 21:09 on Nov. 19, 2008 by wowgoldshopping Oh, man, where to start... Ok, how about the simple answer. NO! Ok, now the complicated wow gold explanation. I'm not a proponent of similarity. I do like balance, but to me that does not need to mean that both sides have the same abilities. A prime example was the Paladin / Shaman split pre-Burning Crusade. Each side had their own abilities that was separate and unique to them, yet they were fairy well balanced, each bringing something unique to the table. While I understand Blizzard's reasons for allowing both factions both classes (balance issues around encounters), I still don't agree with or like the idea. This is the same with fear ward, I understand why, I just don't like the solution. For a change, there was an amazingly clear, insightful and witty comment in the official forums on this topic, and yes Hell must have frozen over. A player named Scooperman made the following comment, that I agree with whole heartedly: Hey, let's just make everything the same! I love this trend Blizzard, keep it up. Soon I'll be able to MS on my mage for 2k while dual wielding and shooting my bow. Also, I'll keep enemy pets banished and healers feared while I frost nova all the melee classes right before I bubble and hellfire. GG In case you can't tell, he's being sarcastic. Blizzard is known for the amazing balancing act they do with characters, classes and races in all their wow gold games. I just don't understand why in this and a few other cases they have chosen to take the easy way out, rather than finding some way to continue to have something that allows each faction to play in a distinctive and different way. Maybe it's just me, but I prefer things to be different. I am all for faction specific classes and abilities. I am all for forcing different strategies on different factions. If over time an imbalance appears, I am all for finding a way to fix it. I just don't believe that watering down the difference between the two factions is the best way to accomplish that. I've had my say, now you can have yours. What do you think? Should a class have the same abilities regardless of races or faction, or should there be some distinction? Tell us your opinion by visiting the forums and posting! Paladin / Shaman
- Posted at 21:08 on Nov. 19, 2008 by wowgoldshopping I've played both factions to max wow gold level, and raided on both. Honestly, I can't say it was any harder or easier with either faction. Sure they are different and played significantly different (until the cross faction pally / shaman release with the Burning Crusade), but we got through each encounter given time and skill. The presence or lack of fear ward, never made or broke a fight. Alliance guilds have generally been the first to complete any new encounter in WoW, however generally not that far ahead of the Horde. This I believe has much more to do with the Alliance having a much larger population to draw from than anything else. After all if one team at a race can enter 30 cars and the other only 10, which is more likely to have the winning car? Soon I'll be able to wow gold on my mage for 2k while dual wielding and shooting my bow. Also, I'll keep enemy pets banished and healers feared while I frost nova all the melee classes right before I bubble and hellfire. GG In PvP, I can see a huge advantage to ignoring a fear, however it is just one of many ways to ignore, get out of or cancel a fear. There are many others. While I have never been a PvP fan, and rarely play PvP (the rare exception being on my undead priest), if fear ward was such an imbalance, why do the Horde own the battlegrounds on most servers? Surely such an overpowering ability for the Alliance would allow them to completely dominate the lowly horde. Yet, for some reason the opposite happens. get Fear Ward?
- Posted at 21:08 on Nov. 19, 2008 by wowgoldshopping Word came down from Blizzard at this years BlizzCon that all the Horde would be getting fear ward at some point. While no real specifics where given, there was a strong implication that all priests would be getting the ability. This has been discussed over and over again on the official forums and it seems there is some truth to it, as mentioned by "blue" in the European forums and discussed here in the North American forums. The questions now are: how good is it really, and should everyone get it? Plucked straight from the ongoing discussion on the official forums, I take on this hot topic. Since the beginning of time, hmm, ok, since wow gold 's launch, there has been disharmony among men (and women) who play priests. The problem has been the inclusion of several "racial talents" and the perceived lack of balance between them. Some are very good, some are down right useless. The most controversial though has always been the dwarf Fear Ward ability. Fear Ward, for those who may not know, is a spell that puts a buff on the target that allows them to ignore the next fear causing effect. Once you have been feared, the buff is used up and must be recast on you. The buff lasts 10 minutes and the spell has a 30 second cooldown. This means that in most cases it can prevent most wow gold PvE fears. It is also very useful in PvP where it can be used to ignore the fears cast by many opponents. Players very quickly learned what an advantage this was in Raids and PvP encounters that many players rolled Dwarf priests just for the ability. Many times despising the dwarf race completely, but wanting the ability and its perceived strengths and advantages. The dwarf being an Alliance race, led to the belief that the Alliance had a huge advantage in both Raids and PVP. World of Warcraft: Teenager collapses after 24-hour gaming session
- Posted at 02:00 on Nov. 19, 2008 by wowgoldshopping A teenager has collapsed in convulsions after playing the cult video game World of Warcraft £¨ Buy wow gold £©for 24 hours in a row. The 15-year-old is believed to have suffered an epileptic seizure after his marathon session of the fantasy game. Psychiatrists have previously warned that World of Warcraft's addictive qualities could have "serious consequences" on young people. The boy and six friends are understood to have played Wrath of the Lich King, the new extension of the game released last week, for 24 hours straight at his house in Laholm, Sweden this weekend. "They played all day and all night. Maybe they got a few hours of sleep. They ate a little food and breakfast at their computers," his father told a local newspaper. After the teenager collapsed on Sunday afternoon, doctors said that his system had been weakened by lack of sleep, lack of food and over-concentration. He is expected to make a full recovery. The boy's father says he now plans to limit his son's computer time and urged other parents to do the same. World of Warcraft £¨ Currencywow gold £©, which creates a vast interactive world for the gamer to explore, has grown into one of the most popular of all online games. More than 11 million people worldwide are registered as players. More than 2,000 people queued for up to 18 hours outside an Oxford Street store in central London, in advance of a special midnight opening to get their hands on the second "expansion pack" for the role-playing game on Thursday. Dr Richard Graham, a child psychiatrist at the Tavistock Centre, warned last week that some young people were damaging their social and mental development by playing the game for up to 16 hours at a time. "The problem with World of Warcraft is the degree it can impact and create a socially withdrawn figure who may be connecting with people in the game and is largely dropping out of education, social opportunities," he said. Based on the inflow of cash Blizzard
- Posted at 01:58 on Nov. 19, 2008 by wowgoldshopping The second part of how the fee fits the number of players in the player base is a whole other matter with wow gold . To be fair, Blizzard puts a ton of work and effort into maintaining WoW, despite the complaints to the contrary on the forums. However for the player base that they have they do not put as much new content in as they should. With 6 million paid subscribers they are generating roughly 90 million dollars a month in subscriber fees!! Some of this obviously goes to pay back their initial investment in development (which is equally obviously paid off!), to support their servers and infrastructure and to create new content. Each developer has a set number in mind when they create a game as to how many players they need to break even, and how many to make a nice profit. Blizzard never reasonably expected to have 6 million paid subscribers, and therefore never planned on the cash inflow. Based on the inflow of cash Blizzard is receiving one of two things should happen. The first is that more development should take place or the other option is that monthly fees should drop. Blizzard in all likely hood expected roughly 1 or 2 million players, meaning $15 to $30 million a month. They are generating 3x the high end of that. Come on guys, it¡¯s a success and a cash cow, either cut us a break (say $10 a month instead of $15) or triple the amount of content that is released. Like I said, Blizzard has been doing a good job on new content, just not $90 million dollars good. Lastly for all the wow gold games that do not have a monthly fee, do you find yourself less forgiving of other fee-based MMOs? Does the lack of a fee make players less intense about playing regularly? Obviously it does, at least to me. Guild Wars provides an amazing environment and tons of support, and they do this without charging a monthly fee. Players that are really into GW are very resilient to playing a game that does require a fee, simply because they have an example of how good one can be without forcing you to pay. The lack of a fee also does bring the casual player into it easier than a fee based game. This can be good or bad depending on your expectations and desires in a game. If you¡¯re a teen or a student its awesome as it allows you to play wow gold . If you¡¯re an old timer and want tight community then its probably bad as you are bombarded by newbs and kiddies. It¡¯s all in personal preference. Hopefully this editorial has explained a bit more about the monthly fees and given you some additional things to think about when shelling out your hard earned cash each month. Card tournaments of Wargame tournaments
- Posted at 01:57 on Nov. 19, 2008 by wowgoldshopping This can be compared to Collectable Card tournaments of Wargame tournaments. By setting a higher or lower price you can ¡°pre-select¡± the players that will attend. For example a MTG (Magic the Gathering) tournament that is $5 to play in will likely draw a younger crowd as they can afford to play and it isn¡¯t a big loss when they do not win. A $50 MTG tournament will generally not attract the young players (other than the ultra competitive ones that have a reasonable chance of winning), but it will not scare away the older players. The argument here is that if you are paying $15 a month (a standard fee) and only play 3-4 hours a week, you are paying $1 per hour. However if you play a lot, say 30 hours a week, you are paying roughly 13 cents per hour. Which do you feel better paying for a game? What good comes from a monthly fee? This really depends on the game and the developer, but the absolute minimum that it will get you is some form of support with the wow gold game, GM¡¯s online to resolve issues, the servers being maintained so that a world exits and patches to resolve issues. Beyond that it is very company dependant. What should come from monthly fees are mini free expansions, in game events, and other new content. For the games that do provide new and updated content on a regular basis it makes a huge difference to the player base. They ¡°feel¡± that their money is going someplace and doing them some good. The games that provide this generally have far fewer trolls complaining about fees on their forums. Of course not everyone can be happy, and part of that has to do with our next topic. Are the games pricing models a good fit for the player base. This can mean two things very easily. How does the price fit to the target demographic and how does it fit to the number of players. The first for wow gold is probably bang on, $15 is a fair fee for a normal players game. They are not aiming for an older crowd, but a normal gaming crowd. This means $15 (an industry standard) is average and should fit. If a game was marketed to older players specifically a fee can be set higher because in general older players can afford and will pay more than younger players. RP a character
- Posted at 01:48 on Nov. 19, 2008 by wowgoldshopping Of course, it is entirely conceivable to RP a character who is born into wow gold knowing all that there is to know about the universe therein, but I think that would strip away one of the greatest features about RP''ing: the sense of adventure. Finding out what''s over the next hill by going over that hill yourself is one of the top items on the list of things that keep me logging in night after night, and I think that could be said for many other RP''ers I know. |

The most negative patch
- Posted at 01:47 on Nov. 19, 2008 by wowgoldshopping The most negative patch I can think of was the patch where they disabled U.I. mods from cancelling spells. This change made raiding slightly more difficult since you had to manually conserve mana while healing (instead of a U.I. stoping you when you were going to heal someone for too much). This of course, came when Priests became much better healers, so it wasn¡¯t too bad. One can never truly speak purely of the positive in wow gold game updates. Though, there comes a problem that there just really has never been anything overly negative then the problems during launch. At launch, the game was unavailable for extended periods of time do the sheer amount of unexpected players. Past that, there has never been a major incident that has ¡°ruined¡± gameplay for anyone or made classes unviable or any of the other horrible things that have befallen other MMORPGs. One must ask though, what does the future look like for World of Warcraft. The next upcoming game update will provide a Rogue talent overview along with more incentive to PvP outside of the battlegrounds. Past that, no one really knows. We do know that wow gold : The Burning Crusade is coming soon. That should mean that upcoming patches will probably begin preparing players for it while adapting the game world for when it¡¯s launched. Overall, every WoW update has been overly positive bringing both new content along with various game fixes and balance changes. Updates which contain new dungeons or content are always excellent updates providing players with plenty of new and exciting things to do. Sometimes though, the patches don¡¯t provide enough for everyone. That¡¯s when the age old adage ¡°Can¡¯t please everyone!¡± comes in. I click to for all WoW things
- Posted at 01:45 on Nov. 19, 2008 by wowgoldshopping WoWWiki is one of the first places I click to for all WoW things lore-wise. It is a great base of knowledge for many other in game items also, but the already extensive and growing lore being housed here is where the site really shines for RP''ers interested in such. Specifically for new characters, I would point to the links leading to and through the Timeline as a starting place on their path of knowledge. Of course, none of the others should be missed, including Class Lore, Locations, Religions, and on, depending on just how wise and intelligent you want your character to be. There really is no ¡°biggest¡± patch, although one does stand out in wow gold ¡¯s history more then the others. That¡¯s patch 1.4 which added PvP honor and patch 1.5 which added the battlegrounds. During patch 1.4, the already congested zones of Stranglethorn Vale and Hillsbrad Foothills were full of PvP combat. This provided a ton of untapped entertainment for anyone who was level sixty and looking for something to do. On the flip side, this created a large hassle for those leveling up in these zones on the wow gold PvP servers. Patch 1.5 came with the battlegrounds, which ended a lot of the players in these zones, once again allowing those on PvP servers to have a more leveled playing field. Normal servers rejoiced as PvP finally was catching on with the arrival of the battlegrounds. Outside of the highly anticipated excitement of the battlegrounds and PvP honor were the various instances that were added. Blackwing Lair, AQ, and Naxxaramas are all big deals among those who enjoy raiding. Players scrambled before the patches to ready themselves to become the first to complete content in these instances. Not only that, but each added instance (including Dire Maul and ZG) provided a wealth of new items and skills that greatly helped those who enjoy making their characters more and more powerful. Those who are more casual really enjoyed patch 1.10 which added the .5 armor set. This armor set was designed for those who only want to play wow gold for a few hours every other day. Attainable by most anyone, these armor sets also greatly helped guilds who were attempting to complete the first major raid instance, Molten Core. Not every major update focused on content. A lot of the later patches have focused on reviewing various classes talents and making them more efficient for the current game landscape. Most of these changes are welcomed by the community, although some changes have come as controversial. Enemies of those classes cheer as a very annoying skill or talent has been balanced while those of the class disagree saying the skill or talent are needed. Overall, most of the balance changes were truly needed (and to the contrary contained very few ¡°nerfs¡±). knowledge you have
- Posted at 01:35 on Nov. 19, 2008 by wowgoldshopping Think about all the accumulated knowledge you have about life currently stored away in your brain cells. Don''t know about you, but it simply boggles my mind, and I certainly don''t consider myself to be a highly intelligent person. But make no mistake, the sheer mass of data each and every one of us have would fill volumes. Everything you have learned from the minute you were born until this very moment is an immense amount, and taken together, has helped you to become the very person you are today. So, the question is: how do you share what you know now with your character at its ''birth''? Considering our true selves do not currently live in a tangible world of elves and demons, what do I need to learn as a player about such a world that would greatly enhance my roleplaying a character who does exist in such a world? Read along with me as I share some thoughts and ideas that may help you do just that. One of the spectacular features of most any online wow gold game is that they are regularly updated for as long as the game is still popular. New content and features are delivered directly to the existing game like a new coat of paint on a fence. Pesky bugs are also squashed on a regular basis and balance changes make the games more enjoyable, removing unneeded frustration. Though these updates aren¡¯t always as sweet as sugarplums, they are sometimes slightly bitter. While World of Warcraft (WoW) never fails to deliver a sweet taste, not everything is sweet as others. Game updates in WoW come at a semi-frequent basis, generally between two to three months apart from each other. There have been currently eleven major patches, which deliver new features, content, and major game changes, during wow gold ¡¯s almost two year span of service. This equals to about a new update every two to three months. The first two game updates were simple updates that fixed the latency problems with the large amount of expected players and happened shortly after launch. This means that in total there are nine major game updates. The history of WoW updates is quite simple, if you take out the massive amounts of small feature changes. Patch 1.11 (June 20th, 2006): Naxxaramas was added along with Mage and Shaman talent reviews. As you can see, most patches provide a wealth of new content and things to do. This brief summary doesn¡¯t include the thousands of smaller changes that fix annoying bugs or add small features. Those kind of things aren¡¯t not looked at as much as major milestones in the history of wow gold . Though, all of the patches do carry the theme of being focused towards those at level sixty. That¡¯s because there is plenty of pre-level sixty content but there never can be enough level sixty (or the upcoming level seventy) content. Pop-up boxes
- Posted at 01:22 on Nov. 19, 2008 by wowgoldshopping Right from the start, the game is offering you useful advice in the pop-up boxes. For example, telling you how to find quest givers, loot corpses and engage enemies. As new experiences come up in the wow gold game, there continue to be pop-up boxes giving you instructions. Even in the later stages of the game, pop-up confirmation text (eg. when you will change an enchant/item improvement) reminds even the more experienced players of something they may have overlooked. It¡¯s good that you have the option to disable most of these if you are already aware of the information, but for the new players to the game they help give you a great head start ¨C less time wasted trying to figure simple things out and more time spent actually enjoying the game! 2. Loading screen hints These were introduced only in later patches, but again are very useful for the less experienced player. They contain a number of useful tips and keystroke commands that aren¡¯t taught in the pop-up basics. Again, rather than learning these by eating up valuable game time poring over manuals or other websites etc. wow gold players can actually spend more time just playing, and learning the things that can¡¯t be taught in this way like good tactics and strategies. 3. Being ¡°shepherded¡± by quests This refers to quest text being set out in such a way as to provide some hints, and also the way that quests will lead you into other zones you haven¡¯t explored yet. It¡¯s nice to get some signposts pointing you in the right direction, or guiding you to new places, and I think the way the quest text is written helps do this job very well. I see these as being the three main ways in which Blizzard does a good job in familiarizing the new player with the wow gold game, and guiding them along the road towards the end-game. Sure, there are some things that could always be improved, and there are some things that are left out. But I don¡¯t necessarily think this is a bad thing¡ after all most people don¡¯t want to be spoonfed 100% of the time and still like some challenge¡ I know I do! Now, my colleague Messiah has raised an interesting counterpoint or two in his blog! You may want to check out his side of the story. But I still think that the quest text helps even with this too, as apart from elite quests, there are a number of other quests where the text specifically suggests you¡¯ll want some allies along, which encourages you to group when you need to. I do agree, perhaps there could be a bit more outlined about meeting stones, grouping and using the Trade/LFG channels in the loading screen hints. But overall, I think Blizzard does a very good job of schooling its new players, and makes learning the game non-threatening and more enjoyable! This has really been one of secrets behind the wow gold phenomenon! So welcome all newbies¡ welcome to the World of Warcraft! Your adventures in Azeroth are only just beginning¡ Tags: wow gold £¬world of warcraft gold References: http://wowgoldshopping.tooum.net/ £¬http://wowgoldshopping.weebly.com/index.html http://wowglodshopping.blog.com/ £¬ http://wowgoldshopping.blogr.com/ |

Final Fantasy VII
- Posted at 01:19 on Nov. 19, 2008 by wowgoldshopping Blizzard have really ensured that the early levels of the game really are an enjoyable experience to play! In my opinion, this decision has allowed WoW to be more accessible to your first-time MMO player, or more casual player. OK, so you¡¯ve never played a MMORPG before, you¡¯ve just unwrapped your wow gold box, installed the game, set up your account¡ and now you¡¯ve just created your first Level 1 character and you¡¯re standing in your starting camp¡ where to now? You see a pop-up box appear on your screen, suggesting you go talk to the guy with the yellow (!) over his head¡ fair enough. You follow the advice and so begin your first forays into the World of Warcraft! Really though, most any entertaining game is probably played on the side by some number of WoW players. There are just too many players to generalize things. For instance, many players choose to go back and play RPG classics like Final Fantasy VII or newer games like Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic or even some MUDs like the Discworld MUD. Many WoW players enjoy games like Halo, Counter Strike, and Unreal Tournament. The list just goes on and on and the reasons vary from person to person. With the Nintendo Wii on the horizons we all could see the fun in playing some good old classics whenever that itch arrived. Shaking your fist in rage as you ¡°accidentally¡± jumped in the drink in the original Mario Brothers is something that provides quick and convenient entertainment (at the cost of controllers). There are many reasons why World of Warcraft has been such a massive success, and I believe that one of them is that Blizzard have made the game easy to understand and learn! Unlike previous MMOs, which had quite a steep learning curve and often put new players off by making simple things difficult to learn, wow gold is frequently pointing new players in the right direction, though the use of a few very effective devices! By making it easy to pick up the basics of the game, and not forcing players to learn the basic aspects of the game by trial and error, Blizzard have really ensured that the early levels of the game really are an enjoyable experience to play! In my opinion, this decision has allowed WoW to be more accessible to your first-time MMO player, or more casual player. This in turn has meant that WoW has been able to capture a whole new section of the market which previous MMOs largely ignored, hence why it has shattered all previous subscription records! So let¡¯s take a look at World of Warcraft¡¯s basic training program, and how it works¡ Tags: wow gold £¬world of warcraft gold References: http://wowgoldshopping.tooum.net/ £¬http://wowgoldshopping.weebly.com/index.html http://wowglodshopping.blog.com/ £¬ http://wowgoldshopping.blogr.com/ |

Oddly enough
- Posted at 01:16 on Nov. 19, 2008 by wowgoldshopping Oddly enough, one game provides this sort of entertainment with little effort involved. A Warcraft III custom map called Defense of the Ancients (DotA) provides the entertainment and on-demand gameplay that many WoW players seek. For those of you not in the know, DotA is a custom map that pits teams of players against each other in a Alterac Valley style war. Players pick custom heros and battle one another and various military type units to meet objectives and claim victory against the other team. It has a highly competitive following with contains lots of WoW players seeking some quick fun to change things up a little. Games like EVE Online that provide on-demand action is really what your average wow gold player seeks. Something to fill in the time between raids, guild activities, leveling groups, or other things many players wait around on. Your average WoW player also seeks to break up the standard WoW formula and seek something different yet something similar. Something that doesn¡¯t interfere with the time spent leveling, raiding, or farming but fits between spots of ¡°what to do¡± moments. There is one other game to note as something that was quite the fad with WoW players. That game is Oblivion (part of the Elder Scrolls series) that was recently released. Oblivion is a sprawling fantasy RPG with tons of content and gameplay for both the PC and the XBOX 360. While no knows the appeal to your standard wow gold player (outside of the ¡°it¡¯s a really fun game¡± factor) it is a very entertaining game that provides plenty to do. Speaking of Nintendo there is one gaming console that is very popular within the wow gold playerbase. That¡¯s the Nintendo DS. Its appeal comes from the ability to pick it up and play games right off the bat while waiting on something to happen in WoW. You can quickly pause and go back to WoW then resume your game. A good example of this is before a raid or waiting on a friend to show up. There is a wealth of video games on the market it¡¯s hard to pinpoint what exactly players want; although you can assume that they don¡¯t want another MMORPG. If you are looking for a game to pair along with WoW why not look at EVE Online or perhaps replay some older games. Many console games also provide plenty of entertainment. Personally I enjoy the Burnout series (for the XBOX) as a quick and fun ¡°hahahHAHA WOAH DID YOU SEE THAT CAR JUST WOW¡± gaming session. There are a ton of games available and everyone has different tastes. There is plenty to do outside of adventuring in WoW. From space ships to city building to race cars to well pretty much anything and everything you can imagine is available out there. Alternating games or keeping something fresh available can really help prevent burnout and make the time you spend in WoW even better.
